Labels, not folders
Your labels, nested ones included, in the sidebar and on every thread. Add or remove them from the keyboard.
Google makes Gmail for the browser, the iPhone and Android, but not for the Mac.
zora fills the gap: a calm, native-feeling Gmail client that keeps your labels and threads.
zora signs in with Google and treats Gmail as Gmail, not as a pile of IMAP folders.
Your labels, nested ones included, in the sidebar and on every thread. Add or remove them from the keyboard.
Conversations, drafts, spam and trash behave the way they do in Gmail. Archive means archive.
Your mail stays in Gmail. Sign in with Google and it's all there, and Gmail on the web keeps working.
Mail is cached on your Mac, so the inbox is there the moment you open the app, even offline.
Native window, menus and notifications, a Dock badge for unread mail, light and dark that follow macOS.
A command palette on ⌘K, plus J K to move, E to archive and R to reply.
⌘F to search, then filter by sender, dates, excluded words or attachment size.
More than one Gmail, plus iCloud, Fastmail or any IMAP account, in one window.
zora, Everforest, Flexoki, Gruvbox, Kanagawa, Nord, Rosé Pine, Solarized and Zenwritten.
zora is a mail app, not all of Google Workspace. A few things to know before you switch.
No Calendar, Chat or Meet inside zora. Keep those in the browser or their own apps.
Not yet, anyway. Mail snoozed in Gmail on the web still comes back on time.
There's no zora for iPhone or Windows. Gmail keeps everything in sync, so the other apps you use still work.
Gmail is free, and zora doesn't add a subscription on top.
No subscription. A lifetime license. Try every feature free for 14 days first, no account needed.
No server in between. zora talks straight to Google. Nobody else receives your mail, including me.
No tracking, AI off by default. Remote images stay blocked until you ask. No analytics, no telemetry. Optional AI features use your own API key.
Requires macOS 14 or later.
