Calm first. AI if you ask.

Canary puts AI at the center of your inbox, and sells it in tiers.
zora puts your mail at the center, and AI is an optional switch with your own key.

AI, only on your terms.

Off by default

zora works fine without AI. Nothing about AI runs until you turn it on in Settings.

Your own key

Bring an OpenAI, Anthropic or xAI (Grok) key and pick the model. You pay the provider only for what you use.

Straight from your Mac

Only the conversation you have open goes to your provider, never through a zora server.

One app, one license.

No tiers

Every feature is in the trial and in the license. Nothing is held back for a higher plan.

Gmail done properly

Labels, nested ones included, threads, spam and trash behave like Gmail.

Any IMAP account

iCloud, Fastmail, Yahoo or your own domain, with server settings filled in.

Keyboard first

A command palette on ⌘K, plus J K to move, E to archive and R to reply.

Fast and offline

Mail is cached on your Mac. It opens instantly and stays readable without a connection.

Nine color themes

zora, Everforest, Flexoki, Gruvbox, Kanagawa, Nord, Rosé Pine, Solarized and Zenwritten.

Fair to say.

Canary does things zora doesn't. Better you know before you switch.

No PGP

zora doesn't encrypt mail end to end. If you need PGP, Canary does that.

Mac only

No zora for iPhone, Windows or Android.

No read receipts

zora doesn't track whether people opened your mail, and blocks trackers in yours.

Made by one person.

zora is paid for by the people who use it, so its only job is to be a good mail app for them.

Pay once. A lifetime license, no subscription. Try every feature free for 14 days first.

No server in between. zora talks straight to your mail provider. Nobody else receives your mail, including me.

No tracking. Remote images stay blocked until you ask. No analytics, no telemetry.
