No zora server
zora connects straight to Gmail, iCloud or your IMAP provider. Nobody else receives your mail, including me.
Many email apps quietly add their own servers to the trip: for push, for sync, for AI.
zora doesn't. Your mail goes from your provider to your Mac, and nowhere else.
zora connects straight to Gmail, iCloud or your IMAP provider. Nobody else receives your mail, including me.
Mail is cached locally, so reading and searching happen on your Mac, not on someone's cloud.
Passwords, sign-in tokens and API keys live in the macOS Keychain, never in files, logs or uploads.
Tracking pixels can't tell senders when you opened their mail. Load images per message when you want them.
The app doesn't report what you do, how often, or with whom.
zora doesn't track the people you write to, either.
zora works fine without AI, and it starts with AI switched off.
Nothing about AI runs, and nothing is sent anywhere, until you turn it on in Settings.
Bring an OpenAI, Anthropic or xAI (Grok) key. Only the conversation you have open and the text you ask about go to that provider, straight from your Mac.
If you turn it on, Claude Code can work with your mail through a server that listens only on your Mac and needs a secret token.
Private isn't the same as encrypted. Better you know.
zora doesn't change what Gmail, iCloud or your host can see. It just doesn't add anyone else.
zora doesn't do PGP or S/MIME. If you need that, look at a provider built around it.
Gmail accounts sign in on Google's own page. zora gets only a token it can renew, never your password.
zora has no ads and no free tier to fund. It's paid for by the people who use it.
Pay once. A lifetime license, no subscription. Try every feature free for 14 days first, no account needed.
One person, no investors. No growth targets, so no reason to look at your inbox.
Read the policy. The privacy policy on this site lists exactly what zora accesses and where it goes.
